Self Service Environment:
Self service is a brilliant idea in this day and age due to the quality of technology we now have. This has now opened up a much bigger audience for people to buy which increases sales of companies. This is good for the customer as you have it delivered to the door which people like and it is also very goon for companies as there is a lot less staff and equipment that isn't needed involved with self service so the companies and customers are happy with the way it works. It is also a really good idea because designer shops for example sometimes only have one or two in the whole of England so it is much more convenient to just pay a small postage and packaging price rather than having to travel to the other side of the country which would be a lot more expensive.
Also, it allows the person shopping to feel so much more independent, and therefore, they feel better about themselves. The simplicity of shopping online is also amazing.
ReplyDeleteI do agree with the statement, but because of the increase in these self-service sites and the increased profits it is making, it is making having employees in the actual shop irrelevant. This is because the shop makes more profit through the website and so don't need the people for the shop, this is bad for the economy as unemployment increases.
ReplyDeleteI agree with this and this is part of the reason why the royal mail is going down hill, it is becoming dated and expensive for people to send mail, whereas the e-mail service is free.
ReplyDeleteI have learnt that it is very bad for employees as the company's are able to make more money from internet sales so employees are becoming less and less needed in this new technological world. I have also learnt that the postal service is suffering because the internet has become so strong, for example the e-mail being free.
